Ocean Dynamics – They Are Complex!
The animations below were introduced at the Museum Wave exhibit (Seoul, South Korea) that opened on 2023/09/21. I created them as a contribution to the Land Art Forward project. They reflect the complexity of ocean dynamics acting from the whole Earth scale to the local scale.
The animations are based on numerical model output, projected over the Globe. The model simulation of ocean physics was done using the MIT general circulation model MITgcm at a resolution of approximately 4km.
